Youth Tour

Are you looking for a week of fun, traveling and education this summer??

Since the late 1950s, the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour has brought over 40,000 high school students to Washington D.C. to participate in this unique program. Students have the chance to visit museums, go on tours and most importantly, gain an understanding of American history and their role as a citizen.  Featured speakers during National Youth Day will provide insight to the vital roles electric cooperatives play in their community.  Attendees will also get the chance to meet senators and representatives.

The trip is organized by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and Texas Electric Cooperative (TEC).  Students will be travelling with other electric coop students, along with a group of chaperones.
